Weekend with Girlfriends!

My girlfriends and I had a quick trip to Vegas two weeks ago.
Oh what fun and silly things we did.....
Our first stop after settling into our hotel room was
Deseret Industries

You just never know what kind of gems you will find in another town!
LaDawn and I gave Jana only 15 minutes to browse
because you know how carried away
you can get looking for a great deal.
We should have bought the shoes, just for fun!
It seemed like one of the highlights of our trip was
all the delicious food we ate!
We went to Macaroni Grill for lunch.
The scent of garlic was
SO STRONG (MMMMMMM)
when we walked in,
I don't know if it made us hungrier or quenched our appetites a little.
The waitress has to write her name on the paper on your table upside down so that you can read it to remember her name.  We were all impressed and decided we would see how well our names looked after we wrote them upside down.
Not too bad, actually!
Oh how easily entertained are we....
A few highlights of the trip were.....
Our new purses,
especially Jana's coral "Spring Fling"
There's nothing better than a great Clearance Rack
with sweet merchandise just waiting to grab your attention.
This is a great picture of you two beautiful ladies
The water show at the Bellagio
The midnight crepes
(one of the best parts of the trip?)
Oh how absolutely delectable they were.
Glazed pear with walnut and caramel
Fresh berries with cream
MMMMMMMM.
More food...
Mimi's Cafe
Let's see, what other highlights?
Jumping on the bed,
(Jana, you have some silly pictures of that, right?)
Running a red light, (oops)
Going to bed WAY past my bedtime,
(I can tell I'm getting old because this really messes with my schedule and my body reminds me of it for several days after the fact)
Sleeping in past 10:30, UGHHHH
(Only in a hotel room with very dark curtains!)

I had a great time ladies,
thanks for a fabulous getaway.
After breakfast we went our separate ways.
Jana and LaDawn went home and I went south.
I stopped in Boulder City to ride my bike at Bootleg Canyon before I drove to Pearce Ferry to pick up Guy and his buddies who floated down the Colorado River from Whitmore Canyon.
The bridge below Hoover Dam looks closer to completion, FINALLY!
What a marvelous attraction that has been to watch the construction over the past several years.
work hard, play hard, rider harder.
