I loaded all of these pictures on the computer in the opposite order that I planned and now they are all backwards, SO, I will tell my story from end to beginning! My baby, Mersadie Quynn Polatis, turned 13 in February! I can't believe she is a teenager, even though she has been acting like one for some time now. (It's usually all good). I have been reminiscing lately of what my life was like when I was her age, oh the memories.
We ended her birthday with a family dinner and a chocolate/chocolate cake. It wasn't family as usual as we did it on a Saturday night instead of Sunday night. Chanel had to work, Guy IV had another committment and Grant is attending college in Logan. Sadie misses Grant, especially on occassions such as this one. Anyway, Lexi (half-sister to Taylor and Sadie), my niece, Haislee, and nephew, Greyson were with us to celebrate. It was also Greyson's 4th birthday.

Grey is making sure we all know how old he is. The kids are all exchanging birthday gifts before dinner. The little one's couldn't stand just looking at their gifts. Haislee's birthday was in January so she had a late gift to open. They were so fun and entertaining to have over.
The end of Sadie's birthday party was at Dairy Queen getting ice cream after lunch at Durango's.Hayley, Kylee, Annie, Sadie, Kenzie, Taylor & Amy.
So, for Sadie's birthday party she had just a handful of her many friends (we could only fit so many in our vehicle!) join her in a photoshoot. Guy IV came and took some great photos of the girls as a group and also some great individual photos. I am not posting the individuals on my blog. The other really great thing is that we have some awesome friends that let us borrow their vintage VW double-cab truck! This is one of Sadie's favorite vehicles. The girl's thought it was so cool.

The sun was so bright and the girl's had a hard time keeping their eyes open when Guy would add the reflector for more light.

This is one of my favorites, they all had their converse shoes on, oh the creativity...

They are so silly!

This old pioneer house had some great distorted lighting and cool backgrounds

Guy was very patient with such a dynamic group of girls, he did a great job. They are all so photogenic, it was a great time.

These are the shots I took that have more of the VW in them. It is the coolest "bus".

Jason & Tami, we can't thank you enough! You are the coolest "Hippies" we know.
work hard, play hard, rider harder.

Having a teenage daughter is pretty great. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. I love the pics. Looks like they had a blast!
LOVING the jump pic! Way to go speed racer girl. Loved your postcard too by the way.
Thanks so much for posting the pics of the photo shoot! WOW!! Sadie is so beautiful and photogenic, as are her friends. They make that bus look HOT! We both loved the shoe shot as well, Guy should send that one to converse, they'd be crazy not to buy it!
We love and appreciate you all too!
