Haislee, Greyson, and Ledger (my brother's children) came to stay with us overnight while their parents went out of town. It was the Tuesday before Christmas so we wanted to do something festive and special with them. We drove around town look for the brightest Christmas light decorations. It seems that no one can ever out do the work of art in Bloomington Hills. We took a picture of it but it was so bright that the picture didn't really do it any justice. The kids all liked the house decorated with Phineaus and Ferb. I don't think I spelled that correctly but that is because I don't watch much TV and I am not familiar with the show.
We went to the St. George Temple visitors center next and walked through the "Reflections of Christ" display. It was a very beautiful and reverent experience. The little kids really like the different pictures of Christ and they were so respectful.
It was a very cold night but the lights and the manger scene were worth it.
We went to Dairy Queen for ice cream, (I would have preferred hot cocoa but I was voted down) on the way home. Haislee and Greyson were waiting all night long to getting into their suits to sit in the hot tub. I think that was the highlight of their visit. For me, I just enjoyed having them around. Sadie and Taylor were so much help with Ledger. I forgot how much time it takes to care for a baby. They were great babysitters while I was at work.
We look forward to the next visit!
