Buried in Jewelry

Most of the people that see me on a regular basis know that I have been shedding jewerly for the past few years. It either breaks or gets in my way. I only wear my wedding ring when I dress up and that is rare, usually just Sunday. It was getting destroyed at work, both at the dental lab and cleaning windows. It gets in the way when I play outdoors too so it usually sits in the jewelry box. I wore out my favorite milano rope gold chain, had it repaired twice and then gave up. Didn't want to spend $500 to replace it, I can't believe how much gold went up in the last 10 years. I lost one of my diamond earrings so just stuck with the smaller studs.

I basically gave up on jewelry until earlier this spring. My friend Tammy introduced me to Lia Sophia and I fell in love with it. I got the bug, because they have such great deals when you host a party, and I have more jewelry than I know what to do with. Now I am wearing dangling earrings. My great friend Colleen started selling it and she offers me incredible deals that I couldn't pass up either. I had to tell her not to call me about jewelry for a while, I am running out of days to wear it! So, my dilema is this.
I don't have room in my jewelry box for all of it. Sadie came up with this clever way to display and organize it. We hung all of it on a plate rack like so. The earrings work great because they are easy to get to. The necklaces aren't so easy. You have to unclasp them everytime you want to wear it. I am just lazy and I will try 2 or 3 on with an outfit before I decide. Also, I had to have the rack to make a nice food display at a baby shower recently so I had to take them all down. Now I have a mess on my dresser. I DO NOT like clutter.
I have some ideas that I am working on so I can store and display the jewelry without the mess. I'm thinking if I could hang it on my wall that would clean up my dresser. Do any of you have any suggestions, or have you seen any great jewelry boxes/displays? HELP.....all tangled up:(
work hard, play hard, rider harder.

Thanks for leaving me a message. I wouldn't of even known that you had a blog. So here is an interesting fact...I just learned that I work with Kelly's neices husband. Her name is Emily. I don't know who she belongs to. Mele Pikula told me. Small world. I'm going to have to tell her that my daughter is named after yours. :) Tell Sades that I love her.

Well of course I have an idea on what to do with your jewelry...first let me say you can NEVER have too much!!! The kid bought me a jewelry armoire for Mother's Day one yeat at Penney's. It is really nice cherry wood, it even has a mirror on the inside of the lid. It holds TONS of necklaces, rings, etc... They make fun of me because I have so much, there is still room in it for more though!! Also HSN has a great one that is actually a stand up mirror and the mirror opens up to a jewelry box. Check it out, that is what I will get when I fill this one up that is for sure....:)
