Timeline Tag

I saw this tag on my friends blog. I loved the layout and concept. Maybe you'll learn something new about me. Here goes....

1. I was 7 years old
2. This is hard to believe but I was very shy and quiet.
3. I lived in Kennewick, WA. We had a fire in our basement on a cold snowy morning in Nov. I remember the fireman took me to school. I was late.

2o years ago...
1. Now I'm 17 years old
2. I lived with my grandma and was working in the office of an automotive supply warehouse (KAPS). I was anxious to graduate high school and move on with my life.
3. I drove a VW Rabbit that my friends and I named "Ralph". It was diesel and got excellent gas mileage. Diesel was only $.78 a gallon back then. Cindy and I drove Ralph to SLC to the Bon Jovi concert.

1. I was 27 years old and a proud mother of two adorable children.
2. Traveled to NYC and London with girlfriends.
3. Trip to Canada with kids and brother - Glacier National Park - AWESOME

1. Guy and I bought our home before the market went up! :)
2. Hiked the Grand Canyon Rim to Rim in a day with friends.
3. Our Bayliner kicked the bucket so we bought a SeaRay to continue the awesome family trips to Lake Powell. What a great place to make memories.

1. My first of four trips to Havasupai (Guy insists we all carry our own packs - no mules:))
2. Witnessed and survived the Virgin River flood of 2005 without damage.
3. Backpacked and ran the Escalante River - 4 day wild adventure!

1. We bought a Toy Hauler. The tent trailer was awesome but this is way too easy and comfy.
2. Hiked, Biked, & Boated Jackson Hole - our 7th annual trip.
3. Lost 10 lbs with a 2 week, stuck in bed, bout of Bronchitis. Then it hung around in my lungs for 2-3 more months. Cracked a few ribs from coughing:(. I am so glad to be healthy again.

So far this year I have...
1. Participated in my first 24-hour mountain bike race - 24 Hours of Old Pueblo, Tuscon, AZ.
2. Another race - 18 Hours of Fruita in Colorado. We never win, just not fast enough but have lots of fun with friends.
3. Discovered I like to read for pleasure if I find the right book and the time. I normally don't enjoy reading because I'm too busy enoying the outdoors.

Last weekend I...
1. Went to "Thriller" at Tuacahn with Sadie, Sandra and Les.
2. Decorated sugar cookies and carved, or should I say destroyed, pumpkins with my kids.
3. Rode my bike, what's new?!!!

Yesterday I...
1. Cleaned windows all day (work).
2. Made (more) pumpkin-shaped sugar cookies for Sadie to take to school for a party.
3. Finally got my computer back after two weeks. I updated all the business bookkeeping.

Today I...
1. Drove Sadie and her cookies to school then delivered a birthday gift to a dear friend on the way home.
2. Dropped Sadie off @ dance, met some friends for a bike ride then picked Sadie up from dance.
3. Updating my blog.

Tomorrow I will...
1. Work, then taxi kids to and from dance and soccer.
2. Get packed for a weekend bike adventure to Moab.
3. Start reading "Stolen Innocence". Story of an escaped polygamist. It is a great book for a long drive. Guy feels left out because I am so quiet in the car:(

In the next year I may...
1. Get taxied around a lot by Taylor. He will have his learner's permit soon, Yikes.
2. Ride the entire Virgin River Rim Trail in 5- 6 hours. (33 miles of steep singletrack @ altitude).
3. Ride a road bike - BORING?, we'll see. (I shouldn't judge, never been on one but I love riding in the dirt!)
I tag Jana, April, & Tami

work hard, play hard, rider harder.
